Goddess Nolyn (女神ノルン, Megami Norun) is a female deity in the Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time series. She is the Goddess of Creation and the primary deity of the Genesis Faith. Nolyn is responsible for the creation of the world and everything within it. She is depicted as a powerful being who maintains balance and order in the world.

Appearance[]

Goddess Nolyn has long, silver-blue hair that shines ethereally and bright yet mischievous eyes. Her expressions are often varied, revealing both her wisdom and playful nature.

Personality[]

As a deity, Nolyn possesses omnipotence and omniscience. She is not only wise but also has a mischievous side. Nolyn can be playful and even a bit teasing, yet she deeply nurtures souls in misfortune. She tends to have a realistic view of the world and often checks in on the protagonist to ensure he makes enough ripples to affect the timeline.

Though serious in her duties, Nolyn secretly loves Japanese culture, food, and even art, which isn’t surprising given that she is the Goddess of Creation. She enjoys teasing her followers about private matters, like virginity and other juicy details, making it clear that she knows all their secrets. Although she cannot interact with her world directly, Nolyn experiences the protagonist’s new life and has many secret narratives designed to challenge a growing empire that abuses magical power by summoning Otherworlders and committing other misdeeds.

History[]

As the Goddess of Creation, Nolyn can shape and give form to the universe. Her influence extends to everything, from natural laws to living beings. Her main role is to preserve and nurture life, ensuring that creation remains in accordance with her will.

However, Nolyn also possesses a dual nature. She can bring about destruction when necessary, though she is most often recognized for her creative abilities. This balance of creation and destruction places her in a unique position, as she is both a source of origin and a force of change and renewal. Despite this, Nolyn refrains from directly intervening in the world's affairs when possible, as her intervention could disrupt the balance of Mildgard.

Skills[]

As the Goddess of Creation, Nolyn possesses extraordinary abilities, allowing her to manipulate matter and natural forces of the universe. Her primary power is to give life and form to all things, but she also has the power to destroy and reset when needed to restore balance. However, she rarely intervenes directly in world events to avoid disruption.

Relationships[]

Iruma Takumi[]

Nolyn didn’t directly summon Takumi to Mildgard. His arrival was accidental, and he died shortly after. However, Nolyn intervened by pulling his soul back from the afterlife. Although she didn't plan his summoning, the fact that she orchestrated his resurrection before the summoning of the three heroes leads to speculation that she might have ulterior motives behind reviving him. Her connection with Takumi is deep, and her involvement in his life seems to serve a larger purpose in the world's grand scheme of creation and change.
