Elizabeth (エリザベス) is the First Empress of the Holy Sidonia Empire and an antagonist(?) in the Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time series.

Appearance[]

Elizabeth is described as a beautiful woman with long blonde hair, resembling a French doll. Her appearance is striking, and she exudes an aura of elegance and nobility, fitting for her status as the imperial princess of the Holy Sidonia Empire.

Personality[]

Elizabeth is shown to be calculating and manipulative. She leads with a sense of superiority and power, particularly when interacting with the summoned heroes. Her behavior towards them is cold, yet she is aware of her allure and uses it to manipulate the situation to her advantage. Elizabeth is not shy about her intent to use the summoned heroes for the Empire's war goals. She has a sense of entitlement and sees others as tools to achieve her ends.

History[]

Elizabeth is the imperial princess of the Holy Sidonia Empire. She is involved in the political intrigue surrounding the summoning of heroes to the world of Mildgard. As the empire’s princess, she has significant influence and authority, which she uses to orchestrate plans, including the summoning of heroes for military purposes. Her role is essential in the manipulation of Akira, Yamato, and Akane as part of a larger scheme to start wars with other nations, such as Barcula Kingdom and Lomaria Kingdom.

After the destruction of the dungeon:

The heir to the Holy Sidonia Empire, also vanished following the dungeon's destruction. Her disappearance is particularly troubling as it leaves a significant power vacuum in the empire. It is unclear whether she fled to the Southern Continent like Pope Weibar or if she is hiding somewhere else.

Relationships[]

Akira Jinguji[]

Elizabeth sees Akira as an easy target for manipulation. She plays the role of a gracious and enchanting princess around him, fully aware of his admiration for her. Elizabeth uses her beauty and charm to keep him under her influence, exploiting his attraction to her for political gain. Though she’s aware that Akira is a powerful individual, her primary interest lies in controlling him as part of her larger goal to manipulate the heroes for the empire's war purposes. Akira seems more enamored by Elizabeth, but he is naïve about her true motives, which Elizabeth seems to exploit for her own benefit.

Yamato Taiga[]

Much like Akira, Elizabeth uses her allure to gain Yamato’s trust. She recognizes that he is another hero with significant power, and she is aware of his emotions and desires. Elizabeth flirts with him, drawing him into her web of influence and manipulation. Yamato, while more resistant than Akira to her charms, still falls prey to her calculated behavior. Elizabeth uses this attraction to her advantage, controlling him and steering him in the direction that benefits her empire's war objectives. While Yamato might be more cautious, Elizabeth is still successful in managing him, at least on the surface.

Akane Misato[]

Akane is more aware of Elizabeth’s manipulative tactics. Unlike Akira and Yamato, Akane is not easily swayed by Elizabeth’s beauty or charm. She sees through Elizabeth's cold and calculating nature, which makes her wary of the princess. Akane feels uneasy around Elizabeth, especially when she notices how Elizabeth is trying to control the heroes for the Empire’s agenda. Akane doesn't trust Elizabeth and is likely to be one of the biggest obstacles to Elizabeth's plans, as she doesn't fall under Elizabeth's spell in the same way the others do.

Sanctuary[]

Elizabeth, like the others, doesn’t seem to perceive the true importance of the Sanctuary and the Spirit Tree due to the empire’s internal struggles. She suggests that the Holy Sidonia Empire should avoid interfering with the savage lands, as they are too distant and the benefits seem minimal. What she doesn’t realize is that the empire has already been subtly corrupted by the miasma, and this is clouding their judgment. Her focus on internal matters and her refusal to engage with the Sanctuary is influenced by the unseen effects of the miasma, which distorts their perceptions of what truly matters.

Trivia[]

  • Elizabeth’s status as a princess and her role in the Holy Sidonia Empire place her at the heart of political power in the empire, just below Pope Weibar.
  • Her charm and beauty are tools she uses effectively in manipulating the men around her, especially Akira and Yamato.
